Southern Utah's Jackson Stevenett has been chosen as the StatSheet Big Sky Player of the Week for the week ending January 28th. Eastern Washington's Venky Jois has won StatSheet Big Sky Freshman of the Week. Finally, Weber State's Gelaun Wheelwright is the StatSheet Big Sky 6th Man of the Week. Stevenett tallied 4.7 rebounds per game, 60% shooting, and 18.7 points per game. The Southern Utah senior played well in wins versus Portland State and Eastern Washington and a loss to Montana State.

Stevenett contributed 19 points on 57% shooting in 40 minutes in a 76-68 loss to Montana State. That was followed by a team-leading 21 points plus an additional 3 assists in a 76-63 victory over Portland State. Finally, Stevenett racked up 6 rebounds and 70% shooting, closing out the week with a 69-55 win over Eastern Washington.

This is the first time that Jackson Stevenett has been named the StatSheet Big Sky Player of the Week. The runner-up this week is Weber State junior Davion Berry. Honorable mention goes to Mathias Ward, a senior from Montana.

StatSheet Big Sky Freshman of the Week: Eastern Washington's Venky Jois

Venky Jois played 30 minutes starting the only game for Eastern Washington. In a 69-55 loss to Southern Utah, Jois contributed 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Amazingly, Venky Jois has won the StatSheet Big Sky Freshman of the Week 4 times. The runner-up is Daniel Hill from Eastern Washington. Thomas Reuter from Eastern Washington takes honorable mention.

StatSheet Big Sky 6th Man of the Week: Weber State's Gelaun Wheelwright

Sophomore Gelaun Wheelwright, a 6-1 guard, played an average of 25 minutes over two games for the Wildcats. In a 79-74 loss to Montana State, Wheelwright put up 5 points and 2 rebounds. During a 76-74 loss to Montana, he racked up 9 points and 3 rebounds.

Gelaun Wheelwright has won the StatSheet Big Sky 6th Man of the Week an amazing 3 times. Colin Chiverton, a senior forward from Eastern Washington, is runner up. Jordan Hickert, a senior forward from Eastern Washington, earns honorable mention. Idaho State has yet to win StatSheet Big Sky Player of the Week.
